MR. STANLEY WILLIAMS
by Ike | Jun 23, 2020
With the passing away of Mr. Stanley Williams (previous Janitor) yesterday morning, another era of SACS History has come to an end.
Most of you will be familiar with his father, Mr. JET Williams (or Willem as he was fondly known) and/or Stanley during our entire High School careers.
The attached pages from “SACS 175 – A CELEBRATION” relates the story of the remarkable length of years of service that the last four gentlemen gave to SACS. It is slightly in excess of 100 years taking into account the eventual length of years of service of Mr Philip Samuel who was the incumbent at the time of publication.
This must surely be a record for any South African School and one that we can be justly proud of.
I have been in contact with Mrs Elizabeth Jackson, Stanley’s daughter who says that he died of a cardiac arrest. He had been nursed by his sister, Veronica, until his death.
